The Famous Rabbit Incident

A trove of mysterious photographs and paintings has emerged, all related to the notorious “rabbit incident” of 1871. We are indebted to Professor Jonathan Simon (Université de Montréal) for bringing this momentous discovery to the forum’s attention. Much research will be needed to properly come to terms with it.

Meingast driving the rabbits from Graz, 1871
“Professor Adalbert Meingast driving the rabbits out of Graz in 1871”. Oil on Canvas, Kunsthistorisches Museum, Wien. The painting, along with the ones that follow, was falsely attributed to Gustav Klimt. We are currently looking for leads as to who the real painter might be.
